Changes: Starting with this release, we are attempting to make LEARNIX more consistent and reliable. The build is done semi-automatically with a new scripted build system, ensuring that none of the important packages are left out. Packages that not fully supported and regularly brought up-to-date are being removed. In this release, DaySim and PhotonMap were chopped. Note that pmap is still available through Carten Bauer's Radzilla.

Issues: OpenOffice doesn't launch. To fix this, please type 'rm -Rf ~/.openoffice' at the shell prompt before launching OpenOffice. Sorry about this inconvenience.

Changes: New overview page linking to all home pages off add-on software, as well as the locally installed documentation.; Version numbering changed from YYYY-MM-DD to the version of KNOPPIX.
Issues: daysim non-functional. This is due to rtrace_dc not compiling on KNOPPIX. Christoph Reinhardt has been contacted over this.; Network cards that require the tulip.ko kernel module don't work. There doesn't seem to be anything that can be done about it.; The HOWTO KNOPPIX2LEARNIX needs updating.; This relese never made it to more than a Release Candidate (RC). It was superseded by version 4.0.2.
