Born in 1966, I am interested in arts and science and various other fields since my childhood. I studied physics, receiving my degree (Dipl.-Phys.) in 1994, and then switched completely to creative activities for a longer period. After a freelance engagement for a TV-Company building stage decorations I worked as a a free artist since 1996, mainly creating and manufacturing furniture and luminaires at the brink between art and design, involving a lot of craftsmanship (wood-, metal-, glass-work and painting). I soon started to explore ray tracing software for visualisation and in turn focused on 2D-work, including some experiments in the field of graphics- and webdesign. I am working with Radiance since 2000. After establishing a few visualisations for architecture projects I used the experience gathered from that to develop various code modifications. Currently, I am planning to return to scientific work.
